Series 181 of record group 58-17 consists of a survey of the Lexington and Flint River Swamp Land State Road (established by Public Act 117 of 1859) as surveyed in 1866 by Gilbert Bates, and originally collected by the Michigan Lands Division. The road runs through Sanilac and Lapeer counties. Includes survey and notes as submitted to the commissioners and also includes documentation on road alterations. The map is 19" x 19" in size. Additional information regarding road contractors is available in Series 180 of 58-17.
